A Mother's Love

A poem for tonight's post. One that came to me last night and I wrote it out this morning. I hope you enjoy.

A Mother’s Love

A mother’s love has a strength beyond measure

It helps her to guard her most precious treasure

It will not break, nor will it bend

There is nothing like it, as it knows no end

She will weather any storm or face the unknown

To care for and protect a child that is her own

It doesn’t matter if it’s by blood or by chance

It’s the heart that gives life to this beautiful dance

She will give all she has, no matter the cost

So her child does not feel unwanted or lost

Even after your grown, and you think you can’t deal

She’s there with a hug for luck and a kiss to heal

From the first time she holds you and sees your face

To the day she must leave the world’s embrace

Her love is truly unmatched, and unlike any other

It is the never-ending and unwavering love of a Mother
