"Do not be dismayed by the brokenness in the world. All things break. And all things can be mended. Not with time, as they say, but with intention. So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. The broken world waits in darkness for the light that is you." ~L.R. Knost~
Good morning dear ones. Today's post is by special request and I hope what I say here today satisfies that request.
The world is broken, and has been for quite some time. The human race has lost its way and needs to be guided back from the brink of its own destruction. Right now, that guide is a virus, a pandemic that has shaken the world to its core. Many countries around the globe are in lock down in one way or another. People who can, are working from home while others are doing their best to keep things going on the outside. We are being given yet another reminder that life is fleeting, precious, and could end at any given time. Why has it taken something like this to remind everyone that kindness is what matters? Family, friends, laughing, connection, and peace are what is most important.
Our lives can be taken from us by anything, heart attacks, car accidents, fires, Mother Nature's fury, the list goes on. Yet we rush along, push ourselves to the breaking point, and call it a good thing. As long as we make that money, meet that deadline, or get that promotion who cares who we step on right? What happens if there's no one there to step on and you slip and fall? Do you pick yourself back up and try again? Do you switch gears and try to find another way up? What does it take to get you to understand that life is sacred?
Right now, there are people still going to work, braving the possibility of getting sick to make sure others are provided for. Doctors, Nurses, CNAs, Firefighters, Police, Ambulance drivers, Military, Truckers, Gas station attendants, Retail workers, Grocery workers, Restaurants, and the list goes on. These are the people risking their lives to save others and keep as much of the world going as possible with no end in sight. Take a moment to thank them, and remind them that there is still kindness left in the world.
My loves, to quote a meme I've seen floating around, 'You aren't stuck at home, you are SAFE at home'. Perspective is everything, and rather than looking at it as burden, see it as an opportunity. An opportunity to connect with family again and remind ourselves of what is truly important. Take this time to connect with yourself again and remind yourself that you are worth so much more than you think. You may have to face a few demons, and perhaps some harsh realities but I promise you it'll be worth it. Open your heart to yourself as well as others and heal what has long pained you. Find the source, make peace with it, and let it go.
Be good to yourselves and each other. Stay home, stay safe, and instead of spreading a virus, spread kindness. Be Kind, Be Peace, and Be love. Yesterday is past and tomorrow isn't promised. Never let a day go by without telling others how you feel. Live and love for today. We need it now more than ever. - Live - Laugh - Love - Namaste
