Dare to Question

"Many of our ideas and beliefs about ourselves and the world are so deeply ingrained that we are unaware that they are beliefs and take them without question, for the absolute truth." ~Rupert Spira~
Good day dear ones. Years ago I had a friend ask me a question that has stuck with me in the back of my mind since. He asked me, "Why do you believe what you do?" As I thought about a response, he followed it up with, "If you asked this question, most people would respond, 'Its what I was taught'." Since then, I have questioned many things throughout my life and I have worked to follow a path that sits well with my soul. I have looked at many different religious/spiritual paths, I have questioned what I was taught as a kid, and I try to take everything I read, see, and hear with a grain of salt. I have found what works for me, yet I am still searching and trying to expand my knowledge. I am trying to remain open to all sides, views, and cultures and to see things with different eyes.
My loves, I ask you to take a moment, sit with yourselves, and ask questions about why you believe the way you do. Ask if it's because it's something that's been ingrained since birth, or if it's because you truly feel it in your soul. When you are looking into your heart and asking these questions, ask if believing this way is helping you or hurting you. Does it benefit your life or give you nothing but grief. If someone questions your beliefs or does something that you perceive as being against them, do you get angry? If so, why? Does someone else going against what you believe in truly have an affect on your belief system? If this is the case then perhaps you should look at the strength of those beliefs. Whether this means looking at how you view religion, politics, history, or every day life, take some time to ask the hard questions. You might be surprised at the answers and what you may have feared, may be the solution that you were looking for to begin with.
Take care of yourselves and each other. Be Kind, Be Peace, and Be love. Never let a day go by without telling your loved ones how you feel. Yesterday is past and tomorrow isn't promised. Live and love for today. I hope in the days to come, you find the peace you are searching for and your light will shine on the path for others. May your days be blessed and your love eternal. - Live - Laugh - Love - Namaste
