Do It Anyway

Happy Holiday greetings dear ones. The above quote is one of my favorites. It speaks to me on a profound level, and is truly something that works to identify someone's character. It doesn't matter what the world around you thinks of what you do. What matters is what YOU think of what you do. You could be the kindest person around, and still people will judge you harshly. It has nothing to do with you, and everything to do with them. While scrolling Facebook, I see articles and links that are of genuinely beautiful stories and yet, some troll spews hate. Other times, I see things that are shown, because of the cruel things people say to someone trying to share a special time in their lives. Whether it's because of how someone looks, or because of a perceived disability, these people show the world who the true monsters are.

The world really needs more love, understanding, and tolerance. People should be less offended by someone's life, and partner choices, and more offended by the way people are abused, and mistreated. As a society we seem to be so desensitized to violence, that we have to find something else to be appalled by. The media doesn't help much, and I'm sure that we generally only get part of the story. We are all unique, and we all deserve to be different from those around us. Embrace those differences, as they are truly what makes the world beautiful.

Smiles and kindness don't cost a thing and I hope you are on the giving and receiving end of both. My wish for you, is that your day is a beautiful and blessed one with much joy and happiness.
