"Magic exists. Who can doubt it, when there are rainbows and wildflowers, the music of the wind and the silence of the stars? Anyone who has loved has been touched by magic. It is such a simple and such an extraordinary part of the lives we live." ~Nora Roberts~
Good evening dear ones. The holiday season is fast approaching, and I struggle to bring myself out of the disillusion that has found me over the last several years. I remember the days when Christmas decorations and holiday deals didn't come out until the day after Thanksgiving. I remember when there truly was a 'Black Friday'. Now, this all comes out before Halloween, and there are several 'Pre-Black Friday sales'. Above all, I remember when there was still Magick surrounding the season.
As the years pass, I am saddened to see more and more people seem to forget what the season is all about. While I do not follow any religion, I still believe there is a certain kind magick surrounding this time of year. Yet, with the commercialization of it all, it becomes difficult to bring that magick to the fore.
My loves, remember that it isn't about getting the most expensive gifts or finding the best sales. I believe the season is for family, for reflection, and for innocence. As much as I might complain about the weather that goes along with this time of year, there is a certain beauty in the snow. The morning after a significant snowfall has a certain magick of its own and it seems like all the world is silent, if only for a moment.
Remember what the meaning of the season is all about, and if you can keep that with you all year round. The world needs more of us to keep the magick alive. Be good to yourselves and each other. Never let a day go by without telling your loved ones how you feel. Be Kind, Be Peace, and Be Love. Yesterday is past and tomorrow isn't promised. Live and Love for today. - Live - Laugh - Love - Namaste.
