“Maybe the reason nothing seems to be ‘fixing you’ is because you’re not broken. Let today be the day you stop living within the confines of how others define or judge you. You have a unique beauty and purpose; live accordingly.” ~Steve Maraboli~
Good day dear ones. How many times have you heard people say, ‘I’m Broken’? How often have you said it about yourself? What, exactly, is broken about you? Is it because you don’t conform to society’s version of you? Is it because that person you have a crush on doesn’t seem to like you? Is it because your last relationship or friendship failed? Is it because you didn’t get the job you thought you should have? None of these things mean you are broken; it just means that you are meant for something or someone else. It means you have not yet found your tribe or your purpose.
For a long time, I’ve felt broken, lost, and in an emotional void. I have retreated into myself, and I have spent years trying to pull myself out. Physically, I’ve turned to Yoga which has helped me tremendously in so many ways and it has become a welcome form of meditation for my mind as well as my body. I’ve read books, watched videos, followed different FB pages, and recently I’ve started listening to podcasts to try to reset my spiritual self. Specifically, I’ve started listening to ‘The Purpose Girl’ podcast by Carin Rockind and it has hit on so many points that I resonate with that I wanted to share in the hopes that you will be able to find something yourself. Whether or not I find my path or purpose I can honestly say it has helped pull me out of a few more layers of my psyche that has had its grip on me. It has given length to the claws that I use to pry the tendrils of negativity from my mind and my heart.
My loves please know that you are not broken, you are just different. Embrace your uniqueness and love the journey that you are on. Continue the path to your tribe by being your authentic self. Dig deep inside yourself and learn who you truly are. Be good to yourselves and each other. Never let a day go by without letting your loved ones know how you feel. Be Kind, Be Peace, and Be love. Yesterday is past and tomorrow isn’t promised. Live and love for today. - Live – Laugh – Love - Namaste
