"We have been raised to fear the yes within ourselves, our deepest cravings. But, once recognized, those which do not enhance our future lose their power and can be altered. The fear of our deepest cravings keeps them suspect and indiscriminately powerful, for to suppress any truth is to give it strength beyond endurance. The fear that we cannot grow beyond whatever distortions we may find within ourselves keeps us docile and loyal and obedient, externally defined, and leads us to accept many facets of our own oppression as women." ~Audre Lorde~

Good evening dear ones. Tonight I want to dedicate this post to all the powerful women I have known in my life. Current and former coworkers, cousins, aunts, sisters (blood and soul) who I have seen struggle, but do their best to continue on as if nothing is wrong. I see the weariness behind their smile, and although I may not ask them what is bothering them, I do my best to let them know I am there if they need someone. This is for those that I've known forever, and those I've known for only a short time. However, none can compare to the woman who raised me. My mom will always deserve a special shout out, as she has been my rock, my shoulder to cry on, and my best friend for as long as I've been alive. She has been and is a force to be reckoned with and I couldn't have asked for a better mom growing up. I am so grateful for all of the strong, beautiful women that have been, and continue to be in my life today.

The strength I've seen from these women is immeasurable and I can only hope that I have the same as I continue through my own life. As women we must not forget that we are powerful on our own, but even more so together. We need to continue to lift each other up and show each other that we will face the world as one force. Let us remember that we are queens and no matter our struggles we have those we can count on to help fix our crowns when we need it.

My loves, take the time to reach out to the special women in your life. Let them know you cherish them and show them that you will stand by them. Be good to yourselves and each other. Remember yesterday is past, and tomorrow isn't promised. Life is far too short to hold on to what no longer serves you. Be Kind, Be Peace, and Be Love. Never let a day go by without letting your loved ones know how you feel. Live and love for today. - Live - Laugh - Love - Namaste
