"In daily life, we are often lost in thought. We get lost in regrets about the past, and fears about the future. We get lost in our plans, our anger, and our anxiety. At such moments we cannot really be here for ourselves. We are not really hear for life. Practice makes it possible for us to be free - to rid ourselves of those obstacles and establish ourselves firmly in the present moment. Practice gives us methods we can use to help us live fully in the present." ~Thich Nhat Hanh~

Good evening dear ones. We have many critics in our lives and more often than not, our worst critic is ourselves. We judge, criticize, and put ourselves down for the slightest misstep we may take with no chance for grace. We pollute our own thoughts with negativity and self-loathing that it's difficult to find our way out of that rabbit hole. I am guilty of this and no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to stop my mind from telling me awful things about myself.

I am trying to remain mindful of my thoughts and minimize the worst of the self-talk. I recently came across something while reading 'Hold On, but Don't Hold Still' by Kristina Kuzmic and I believe it could help. The suggestion she gave, was to look at a picture of your younger self and talk to your adult self as you would her. This exercise really spoke to me and I feel that it could make a positive impact.

My loves, you may not see it this way, but I believe the mind is holy ground. We shouldn't allow others to desecrate it with their judgements, nor should we allow our own thoughts entertain those judgements. Be good to yourselves and each other. Kindness costs nothing, and it could make someone's day. Never let a day go by without letting your loved ones know how you feel. Be Kind, Be Peace and Be Love. Yesterday is past and tomorrow isn't promised. Live and love for today. - Live - Laugh - Love - Namaste
